For most of my life, I've heard that Breakfast is the most important meal there is. In my bid to be healthier, I've started actually eating a breakfast. It used to be a ritual when I was a child, but as I grew older I stopped taking time for a morning meal. So, getting back to eating a meal within two hours of waking up took getting used to.

So, I started trying out the best way to have my breakfast without getting bored by it or lazy about it. Both were and possibly still are possibilities that needed accounting for!
I don't like a greasy breakfast, I never have and never will. So, that was my one rule -- about the meal. The first few days I tried yogurt and fruits, which was a nice way to start the day. But even with switching out the fruits every day, it can get repetitive. After a few days, I tried Porridge. Pleasantly surprising is the fact that you can make the basic porridge in so many different ways that the opportunity to get bored by breakfast is minimal for me!
After the end of the first week, I saw changes in myself. I've battled with my weight always see-sawing for the past many years. That feeling of being bloated reduced greatly after a few weeks. Also, I had lesser craving for sugary treats. Which was another issue I had due to avoiding breakfasts through my busy days!
I had lesser temper issues and mood swings too. I think that was quite helpful to people around me when deadlines came by! I felt better, all in all, which is my major reason that I'd be sticking to my resolution to have breakfast everyday!
If you want a change in yourself, maybe you could try this too!
Cheers! Madhu x
