There's something about Christmas that warms my heart! It's something I wait the whole year for. For me, it's when friends and family come together and there's cheer in the air! A tree with presents underneath it makes me feel like a kid again!
I love choosing a tree, putting it up and decorating it. Decking the house with lights and decorations is another of my favorite things to do. The carols that get played on the radios around this time of the year takes me back to when I was a child. I went to a Catholic school so Christmas was a huge part of my winters! We used to help deck the pews in the church which was my most favorite thing to do. It made me feel oh so important!
My second most favorite part of Christmas is the choosing of gifts! It's a very fun part of the holiday. It's important for me to choose just the right gift or gifts for every person I love. So, I start my Christmas shopping right in September! I hoard up on greeting cards, gift boxes, wrapping paper and other little things to make the gifts look even more prettier!
Food is a very part of Christmas for me! I usually get my friends together to cook and bake! I realized a couple years ago that having friends in the kitchen with you while making the holiday spread makes the process so much better and fun! Having friends also makes the eggnog making quite a fun event, or so I found out last year!
All in all, it's always the best time of my year! I see how many people I have in my life and it makes me feel so very glad.
