Through the ages, Carnaby Street has been the seat of creativity in London. Music, art and fashion has flourished on this very street - it has become a place of iconic heritage in London. From the 1600s to now, there have been so many historical moments captured on Carnaby Street. Amazing, right?

In 1823, when Regent street was completed it served to segregate Carnaby Street & Soho from Mayfair.
This was the street you wanted to be seen on if you were creative and searching for inspiration. My all-time favourite music bands - Beatles and Rolling Stones - and style icons like Bardot and Liz Taylor have all been regulars of this very street back in the day. So, being in the fashion industry it's no surprise I frequent the spot now, is there?
Carnaby Street has some of the best shopping in London, personally speaking. It's closer to the popular shopping spots the regulars flock to. But I've always loved how independent boutiques, heritage labels, concept stores and so many more gems co-exist on the street. And it's not far from Liberty which is one of the most gorgeously luxurious department stores I've been in. I usually just like to browse through all the stores even if I don't intent to buy anything. There's fun in window shopping, isn't there?
If you've done all the shopping you can, then you're completely spoiled for choice when it comes to picking a place to eat and drink! There are so many restaurants and pubs for you to choose from, honestly. My favourite food spot on this street is Kingly Court. It's got a little bit of everything so you really can't go wrong! It's a three-floored food destination you've got to try. One of my favourite lunch spots there is The Life Goddess which is a perfect place for a boozy brunch with your girlfriends. I went there for my pre-birthday lunch and I really enjoyed it. I've also been to Rum Kitchen which has killer burgers and cocktails with a Jamaican twist. If you're craving American fare, try the Dirty Bones. My aim for the year is to sample every place in Kingly Court just to say I've tried it all!
I try to visit the street every so often because I just adore the energy there. If you're planning to visit London or are moving there, then go on and visit Carnaby Street! If you're a Londoner, then what's your favourite place on the street?
Cheers!
