Combating the Tropical Heat!

Recently, I decided to go back to India right in the middle of the hottest months of a year! Pretty doable was what I kept thinking when I was packing. That was also what I thought on the night I landed. Jet lag addled my brain, I reckon. After a couple of days, I really felt the heat and how it was so very different. I think this was when my body had also gathered enough rest to assimilate the change.

So, I started thinking of ways to make sure I'm not crabby due to the heat! I'm not saying that the heat doesn't bother me anymore, but just that it doesn't as much!

Take frequent showers in  cold water! I am usually a hot shower kind of person, but right now I am a huge fan of a cold shower! Mainly due to the fact that I'd probably sweat even more from a hot shower and I don't want that! Also, dry off well to avoid skin infections.

The best thing in the world is fresh coconut water! try it, and you'd realise its so much better than the bottled one you get anywhere else. Infused water is a fun way to make sure you drink 3 litres of water every day! Not drinking enough water is never a good idea, but its an incredibly bad idea when its the summer! Adding a piece of fruit or herb to your water makes it tastier.

Switch up your skin care and makeup regimen to nourish your skin. Avoid using too many products in the summer as it'd clog pores.

Dress in lightweight clothes. Accessorize with a hat, flat shoes and sunglasses!

It's always necessary to keep cool in the heat. Tell me your tips are!

Cheers! Madhu x
