Fashion is something very close to my heart. Mixing casual with formal-like bits is something I love to do. Comfort is extremely paramount to me even when I choose a sky-high pair of heels! So, when I've got something I've got to dress smart for, there are few choices I've always got in my wardrobe that I will reach for. Usually, I categorize my clothes into coordinated outfits to make my life simpler!
This particular ensemble is one of my favorites. It's laid back and yet chic enough to be worn to a meeting. You end up doing multiple things through the day, so having an attire you can wear for different commitments helps.
Light wash jeans are a recent addition to my wardrobe. A few years ago I ceased wearing jeans. To accomplish that I donated all the pairs that I owned, which was quite a number! So, after 3 years or so, I went looking for jeans that worked for me. I fell in love with the fit of jeans from Hollister. They've so many flattering fits for people who are short and curvy, which is right up my alley! I own two pairs which I wear to death. Super Skinny High Rise jeans from the brand is something I have started recommending to people, that's how good I think they are! They have some really nice ripped jeans too (I own a pair so I would know!), so do check them out if you're in the market for new jeans!
I have a few favorite high-street brands to buy my formal shirts and blouses at. Top in that list is Loft, which is where this particular blouse is from. I especially like the brand for its Petite Shop. I takes into account that there exists different body types and really does a good job catering to them! This one has a ruffled collar which I really like. It doesn't button all the way down which works for me. Though the major reason why I bought this particular blouse is for the cherry blossoms printed fabric. It's so cute, for any time of the year!
Bucket bags are another favorite addition to my wardrobe. They're an easy choice as you can just pop all the necessities in and be out of the door in a minute! This particular one is from Steve Madden and its orange in color which I adore. Everyone knows that the brand makes gorgeous shoes but I love all the accessories that they carry too!
If I end up having to do away with everything in my wardrobe, I'd fight tooth and nail to hold onto my shoes. Saying 'I love shoes' is quite an understatement. This one from Aldo is a favorite of mine for important days. The orange of it is so vibrant that it adds a pop to even the most drab attire. The pointed toe part of these shoes is perfect for those of us who are petite. The block heels is perfect for walking as they're way more comfortable than stilettos and still have the appearance of being almost like them!
