Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year! Especially because I can whip out all my darker berry toned lipsticks. For a makeup addict like me, the transition is quite a fun process. This is a rundown of all the autumnal lipsticks I have the pleasure of owning and using for the colder months.
Bobbi Brown Blackberry 8 ($22 for 0.22 oz) is the very first dark shade I ever bought. So, it's incredibly special to me. This color is the perfect shade for the season. It's a gorgeous berry shade with brown undertone. It's just the right bit of vampy as far as I'm concerned. The formula is just a dream. The color is opaque and yet has a creamy and slightly glossy finish. This gives my lips the illusion of being fuller than they actually are, which I do love!
MAC Fashion Revival ($16 for 0.10 oz) is a limited edition shade from MAC The Matte Lip Collection. I do apologize for that! I haven't yet found a dupe I do like, but will update when I do. This is a muted raspberry shade with a matte finish which is incredibly comfortable!
Dior 964 Ambitious Matte ($35 for 0.12 oz) is the most gorgeous berry that is unbelievably flattering. The pigmentation is simply wonderful. The creamy, matte and opaque formula just makes this one of those luxury buys that a girl would never ever regret!
Clinique Black Violet 11 ($17.50 for 0.14 oz) is one of those effortless shades that I use when I'm in a rush and want a little something on my lips. This formula is satin finish and with a medium coverage. I don't need a mirror for this one, which is never the case with darker colors for me! It's incredibly hydrating and works well as a transitional shade for me.
MAC Diva ($16 for 0.10 oz) is a reddish burgundy which works magic with my coloring. The matte formula is always my favorite. I apply this with a lipliner brush for real precise finish. I wear this shade all through the colder months.
Lancome 391N Fiery Attitude ($29 for 0.12 oz) is the vampiest lipstick I have and I adore it! First, let's take a moment to admire the very pretty packaging. This color is a deep berry with pink undertones which works well with my coloring. It's very moisturizing and glossy in finish, which works well for this particular shade. I like to use this from the bullet and then use a brush for the precision of the finish. In spite of its formula being moisturizing it does have quite a staying power.
MAC Captive ($16 for 0.10 oz) is an incredibly toned down berry shade. Its perfect for when seasons transition! It's a very easy shade to pull off and the satin finish makes it very wearable!
So, that is the list of all my autumnal lipsticks that I am itching to wear through the cold months! A tip for vampy shades is to use a lipliner brush. It is a time consuming process but the finish is very crisp and there's lesser chances of error!
