I am a huge fan of big, full lashes! I'd love to wear false lashes everyday but they're a tad impractical. I'm also quite rubbish at the application of falsies! To compensate, I've got an arsenal of mascaras that I can't do without. Creating full, baby doll lashes is something I do everyday. It's probably a little time-consuming but its something I think adds a little something extra to your look.
I have a few pricier ones that I reach for more than some of my drugstore ones. These are my favorites from the many that I have tried and tested.
Diorshow ($28.50), a cult classic, is one of my all-time favorites. It has an air-lock feature that I absolutely adore. This makes sure that your mascara stays fresh and doesn't dry out. The best part is the brush which is huge! The micro-fiber enhancing formula really coats every lash! It's a really dark black -- which is something I look for in a mascara. There is a Diorshow waterproof formula but I prefer this one. It gives you fuller lashes with just two coats. When I'm either running late or have too much happening and need a quick makeup, this is the mascara I reach for. You don't need to do anything except dab concealer and pop on a bright lip if you are using this! Trust me, it makes it look like you've put in time and effort.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes ($23) is one of those talked about mascaras. It's probably the only waterproof mascara that I actually like. It lengthens and curls the lashes to give you bombshell eyelashes. When it says waterproof, it means that it stays put! Now, tell me, who doesn't want that? I've used the Lights, Camera, Lashes and Lights Camera, Flashes too. They're also great products in case you aren't a fan of the waterproof ones!
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout ($27.50) is a new find for me. It lifts and separates the lashes to make them fan out. Usually with most mascaras, I have a disposable mascara wand that I use to separate my lashes and make sure they don't clump. This mascara makes sure I don't have to do that! It makes your lashes so very dramatic which is always something I seek.
I love Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes ($27.50). The conical wand makes sure that every single tiny lash is coated. It's also great for the lower lashes, which can usually be tricky. This is the mascara that I always find myself reaching for!
M.A.C. Upward Lash Upward Black ($23) is a very different mascara from all the ones I own. Firstly it has the tiniest applicator. This is probably the best part because it individually coats each lash like you've really taken a very long while doing it. It's incredibly curling and voluminizing. It's one of my favorite buys from the brand.
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara ($30) is another one of those dramatic eyelashes lengthening mascara. As always, Bobbi Brown products do it right! Its intense black is a very beautiful look that makes you look like you've got dark, thick and full lashes.
