My Korean Skincare Affair

Writer's picture: Madhumitha SrinivasanMadhumitha Srinivasan

I've got to confess that I've an immense love affair for all things Korean beauty. Especially their skincare ranges! They have become quite popular all over the past few years. Even though the makeup lines are very tempting, I'm abstaining from buying more makeup for a while.

Sheet Masks have especially become quite a must-have in a skincare routine. I always have one handy when I'm travelling. It's mess-free and easy application which really helps anyone! Me, I like all kinds of face masks and treatments to the level of mild obsession. So, I don't mind the work involved in the mask in a jar or tub variety, as long as it gives me results. But it does take an extra few minutes which I'd like to avoid on lazy pamper days!

Innisfree is a a company that I recently discovered. Once I moved to India, I was clueless about what kind of sheet masks I'd find here. When a friend told me about this brand, like any skincare junkie, I ordered a ton! Every time I order a lot of new products online, I have a panic attack right after the checkout due to the small fact that they're 'new' and might not work for me. Does it happen to you?

I tried a few of them and I love them! Most of what I picked up is for brightening the skin and making you look radiant, which is a very important part of the choice process for me. I've pretty good skin so a little extra effort does go a long way in perking up the texture and appearance! I loved the 'It's Real Squeeze mask (Tea Tree)' which is a pleasant surprise for me. I usually stay away from Tea Tree anything, because it burns my skin. But this mask was incredibly soothing which I appreciate greatly. That one experience has made a fan of the entire line!

If you've tried these products, let me know which ones I should try out next. If you haven't, what are you waiting for?

Cheers! Madhu x
