The Indian fashion scene has always been something I get myself excited about. Naturally, I have a few favorites. From ultra-ethnic wear to casual everyday looks, these names would go through the whole gamut of what any fashion forward person would want in their closets!
There is an almost magical quality to Anushree Reddy’s collection that would make any woman feel like a princess. Her work with vibrant colours, zardosi and raw silk just amp up her collections. She brings together old worldly vintage of elaborate silhouettes, lace and tulle in a brightly colored palette which would be on every bride’s list!
House of Anita Dongre creates beautiful bespoke wedding trousseau. The real specialty to her collections is that the line is sustainable. This bridal couture line incorporates the best crafts of the Indian artisans to create clothing so wonderfully beautiful. She draws her inspiration from Indian culture--Mughal Empire and Rajasthan in particular.
Ayush Kejriwal is fast becoming my favorite designer, especially when it comes to his sarees. All his clothing have a sense of timelessness in them that appeals to the woman in me. His collections celebrate femininity on every level. There is such richness and creativity in every single piece of clothing. There is a seamless blending of the old and the new which creates something uniquely simple yet striking for the women of today to wear.
There's always talent in the horizon, but these are those that really stole my heart, so to speak. Let me know what you think and who are your favorite people to follow!
Cheers! Madhu x
