There are some places that I have always wanted to go to, at the very least for picture opportunities! Peggy Porschen Cakes is one of those spots in London. It's one of those coveted spots on everyone's travel and Instagram lists.
It was one of those typical rainy days in London. With two of my friends, I stood in a line in front of the chicest bakery I'd seen in a long while. I don't remember standing in a line patiently ever before! After close to an hour, we got a table inside.
The ambiance inside is right in my zone. There were flowers everywhere! It's an incredibly feminine and cozy place, according to some people. I do agree with that assessment. But, looking around I saw as many men there as women. So, even though it's extremely pink and flowery, it doesn't make people feel awkward about being there.
Now, finally, let's talk about the menu. The cakes are so rich that I couldn't eat anything later that night! Their coffees and hot chocolates are so very creamy! The hot chocolate especially comes in a cup that is as big as my face. So, the size of the portions served does equate the cost. Which is one of the key points which warrants return patrons!
All in all, it's an experience one shouldn't miss in London! Try it out, and let me know what you think and what's your favorite cake in there.
