Over the past one year I've extensively been using products that smell like rose. It's a scent that I really do enjoy! It makes me think of a nice English garden. That particular imagery also seems to help me!
Turkish Delight by Lush is a shower smoothie. Its a medley of heady floral scents. It might not be for everyone. But I adore the mixture of Turkish rose, jasmine, and neroli. The creamy texture is due to the multitude of oils that are used in the product! I've noticed that the amount of lather it produces depends on the type of water. There is a difference when I use it in India from when I use it in US. But, I'm a fan, so lather or no lather I would keep buying this smoothie!
Tom Ford Cafe Rose is one of my go-to perfumes. It works beautifully on me. The blend of roses is so rich and luxurious. As the perfume evaporates and wears through the day I can smell the light notes of coffee blending in with the rose. The entire effect is a spicy, woodsy yet floral scent. It's what I imagine a strong yet feminine woman should wear! It is pricey but so very worth it.
Greenberry Organics Rose After Bath Cream was a birthday gift this year from my best friend! Don't you love it when the people in your life know exactly what you'd love? This moisturizer smells what crushed rose petals would smell like! You smell like you're surrounded by a thousand roses throughout the day! It's an organic product which is one of the things I love about it. It's also a light formula and non-sticky which are two of the most important parts of a after bath product for me! I don't have the patience to wait to let the product get completely absorbed. So, more often than not, I am left feeling unsatisfied with the product. Not this time! When I'm done with this tub I'm ordering one for myself and also looking at the other products from this company!
British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask from Body Shop is a product I use religiously! The smell of the Rose Mask is just divine and it has a gel like texture which I do enjoy. The mask is really a plumping mask -- It makes my skin feel so much younger and rejuvenated! The packaging is so spa-like that the entire experience of using the mask makes me feel special!
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon is another one of my favorite scents. It's a blend of tuberose, oak-wood and vanilla bourbon. It's a very woodsy and oriental scent. It has a this element of duality of masculine and feminine scents which is quite an adventurous pick for me.
As I go about my life, I am very keenly looking to add more products to this particular scent family! So, please let me know what you think of my modest selection of products. More importantly, let me know if there's any that you would like me to try.
